The Akamas Peninsula, is at the northwestern tip of the island, a natural wilderness with pine-clad cliffs that plunge down into turquoise waters and rugged coastline, alternating between rocky shores and sandy bays. It is an area of breathtaking beauty with a radiating aura of ancient peacefulness.
A network of trails are available; such as those of “Aphrodite” or “Adonis” trails, both providing spectacular views across the Mediterranean. Nature trails go from near sea level past carob, mastic and eucalyptus climbing up to juniper and pine trees. Along the way you can see rare endemic plants, like the Cyprus orchid, tulip and crocus.
